Mrs. Hannah ALFRED of Batavia, 85; Mrs. Mary (Polly) ALFRED, 82; and Charles AVERY, 71, of Eldon....

Mrs. Hannah ALFRED was the mother of J. E. ALFRED of Fairfield, and Mrs. Mary ALFRED was his aunt. Mrs. Hannah ALFRED was taken to the home of her son, S. C. ALFRED at Eldon, where she died. Had lived in Batavia continuously since 1866. She was the oldest and last surviving of a family of nine children, and her husband, W. W. ALFRED, died Mar. 22, 1899. She is survived by children: George C. ALFRED of Ottumwa, Ed L. ALFRED of Batavia, Mrs. Emma BROWN of Burlington; J. E. ALFRED of Fairfield, and S. C. ALFRED of Eldon..... Bur. Brethren Cemetery SE of Batavia.
