ROUND PRAIRIE
- George Smith and family, Mrs. Frank Metcalf, and Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Litton attended the reunion of the Rose family at Ottumwa Park Sunday. Everett McElwee drove the car for his uncle as he wasn't able to drive in such a long trip.

SMITH FAMILY REUNION.

The Smith-Rose family reunion was held in Ottumwa last Sunday at Wildwood park. Fifty three were present and a very enjoyable day was spent together, including dinner at noon. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Chas. C. Smith and sons Orril and Cecil, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Smith and children Edith, Rachel and Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Litton, Mrs. Frank Metcalf, Mr and Mrs. Frank Smith, Mrs. Frank Ruby and children Esther, Wilda and Margaret of Stockport, Mr and Mrs. Ralph J. Kessel and daughter Ruth of Fairfield.

[Chas C. "Charlie" Smith was my great grandfather and Mr and Mrs. Ralph Kessel were my grandparents. The Rose connection with the Smiths is my ggg grandmother Mary Rose White whose daughter Rachel White married Marcus Smith]
