[John C. and Martha Ruggles] are buried in Packwood Cemetery. She was Martha Ann, daughter of James and Nancy (Ruggles) Orsborn. She was married first, 6 Jan. 1850 in Jefferson County, Iowa, to Solomon Bowman, son of Samuel and Elizabeth (Bowman) Bowman. Solomon died 30 July 1856; buried Rock Creek Cemetery, Keokuk County, Iowa, as are his parents.
