Page 3 col. 5A few days ago DR. J. L. MYERS received the sad intelligence that his son JAMES was killed by the Indians in Umatilla County, Oregon, about the 1st inst. A dispatch from Portland, dated the 3d, gives his name in the list of those killed, but no particulars. JAMES was about 26 years old, and was born and reared in this city. He has been in the West for several years and in Oregon about seven months.
