DORIS LEE BRIDE OF W. C. CUMMINGS IN LOCAL CHURCH. Doris I. Lee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer H. Lee of Mr. Pleasant, and William C. Cummings, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Cummings, were married in a ceremony at the Presbyterian church in Fairfield Sunday, July 24. The Rev. Curtis H. Douglas officiated at the double ring service at 2 p.m. in the presence of immediate members of the families.....Music, played softly throughout the ceremony by Marshall Barnes, cousin of the bride (?).....Lavonne Lee of Mt. Pleasant attended her sister as maid of honor......Robert C. Cummings, brother of the bridegroom, ushered.....The couple will live in Albert City where Mr. Cummings will be vocational agriculture teacher. He is a graduate of the local high school and Iowa State college and a veteran of World War II. .....The bride for the past four years has served as deputy county recorder in the Henry County courthouse.
