Five generations

Viola HEISEL of Stockport, seated right, celebrated her 100th birthday during an open house May 8 at Stockport Christian Church. During the celebration the family posed for a five-generation photo. Seated with Mrs. HEISEL is her son Charles HEISEL, and standing, from left, her granddaughter Sherri HEISEL NELSON; and great-granddaughter Kristin NELSON FISHER holding great-great-grandson Ryan FISHER.

Mrs. HEISEL was born April 10, 1918, in Bentondorf (sic). She married Charles HEISEL Sr., who died after 40 years of marriage. She never worked outside of her home, but helped her husband on the farm and raised her children.

Mrs. HEISEL's children are: Charles HEISEL and wife Lela of Stockport; Kevin HEISEL and wife Carolyn of Fairfield; Kerry HEISEL and wife Colleen of Stockport; and Kathy KRANCH and husband Doug of Marion, Ohio. She also has 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
