Since Jefferson County is claiming some sort of honor in once being the home of H. M. HOXIE, of the Gould Railway Lines, the following from the Keosauqua Democrat will be found of interest: “His father settled near Kilbourne, Van Buren County, in an early day, and was buried there. About two years ago H. M. HOXIE had his father’s remains exhumed, after a good deal of difficulty in identifying his grave, and re-buried in Chicago, where at the time resided…..
