CHACEY celebrating

Dorothy CHACEY of Allegan, Michigan, formerly of the Packwood and Ollie area, will celebrate her 90th birthday March 15.

Mrs. CHACEY was born March 15, 1927, to John and Verna KLONTZ. She grew up in the Ollie area. After graduating from Ollie High School in 1944, she joined the Cadet Nurse Corps, attending St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Ottumwa and graduated as a registered nurse in January 1948.

She married Clair CHACEY in August 1947. They raised their family in rural Packwood.

She worked at Jefferson County Hospital in obstetrics and as nurse supervisor in the emergency department. She retired in March 1982.

She and her husband moved in 2000 to Allegan.

They have: four children, Jeanine (Dennis) JOHNSON of Allegan, Michigan, Ron (Leigh Ann) CHACEY of Racine Wisconsin, Theresa VAUGHN (the late Steve) of Paw Paw, Michigan, and Gary (Anna) CHACEY of Albuquerque, New Mexico; nine grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
