GOHNs celebrating 70th wedding anniversary

Oliver and Helen GOHN of Fairfield will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary Aug. 31.

A card shower is planned to help the couple celebrate. Cards can be sent to 305 S. 29th St., Apt. A, Fairfield 52556. No gifts are requested.

Mr. and Mrs. GOHN are members of First Baptist Church in Fairfield.

Mr. GOHN is a World War II veteran. He worked at Jurgenson Electric and the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant before working for the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years.

Mrs. GOHN worked at Universal Producing Company, the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, and she was a homemaker.
