Page 2MELCHERs celebrating 60th wedding anniversary
Dale and Marlene MELCHER of Libertyville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Lauxes' barn, 1182 320th St., Brighton.
The celebration is being hosted by their children. The couple request no gifts, but cards and memories would be welcomed.
Marlene MORGAN and Dale MELCHER were married Nov. 2, 1956, at the Libertyville Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Jasper Smith presiding.
Mr. MELCHER is retired from farming. Mrs. MELCHER is a retired farm wife, who also retired from Prudential Insurance.
The MELCHERs have four children: son Allen MELCHER and wife Darla of Libertyville; daughter Shelley OREN and late husband Glenn of Boone; daughter Marilee CAVES and husband Brian of Douds; and daughter Renee LAUX and husband Phil of Brighton. They also have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
