TOP: Ledger photographer Bill Baker captured the WATSON family opening presents around Christmas time 1975. Baker was a neighbor of the WATSON family, and he asked if he could take photographs of the children and their gifts that day. The photograph appeared in the Dec. 27, 1975 Saturday afternoon edition of The Fairfield Ledger. The children are, from left, Tracy, 7; Debbie, 5; Wendy, almost 3; and Scott, 6 months. Their parents are Terry and Rosie WATSON, now of Burlington.

BOTTOM: (linked photo) The same year, the WATSON family examines the pretty decorations in Fairfield's downtown on Christmas Eve, 1975. Rosie is seen here with the couple's children, who are, from left, Tracy, Wendy, Scott and Debbie.
