Roy and Ruth MITCHELL of Fairfield will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary Tuesday.
Roy MITCHELL and Ruth LEINBAUGH were married Dec. 1, 1945, in the First United Methodist Church in Iowa City.
Mr. MITCHELL is a retired farmer. Mrs. MITCHELL is a retired school teacher and farmer.
The couple have four children: Steve MITCHELL and wife Karyn of St. Charles, Illinois; Mike MITCHELL of Batavia; Rob MITCHELL and wife Lori of Fairfield; and Julie MITCHELL-CRAIG and husband Don of Marion. The couple also has two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
