Alan and Judy McNIEL of Batavia, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, with a family gathering Nov. 27.
Judy ADAMSON and Alan McNIEL were married Nov. 27, 1965, at Agency United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Edward Philgreen officiating.
Mr. McNIEL is retired from John Deere Ottumwa Works, where he worked in the electrical maintenance department.
Mrs. McNIEL is retired from US Bank in Ottumwa.
The couple has two children, Craig McNIEL and wife Linda of Tiffin and Sherri SHOE and husband Matthew of St. Louis, Missouri. They also have five grandchildren.
