Reception planned to honor YOUNG for 90th birthday

A reception to honor Vera YOUNG upon the occasion of her 90th birthday will be held 2-4 p.m. Nov. 29 in the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.

Vera PRICE YOUNG, a former Parsons College and Fairfield High Schol teacher, was born Nov. 29, 1924, in Unionville. She has been a Fairfield resident since she attended Parsons College, returning after a year of teaching at Sigourney High School and subsequently marrying fellow Parsons faculty member Philip "Tib" YOUNG.

Those attending the reception can come and go at their convenience.

The reception will be hosted by YOUNG's daughters, Linda YOUNG MITCHELTREE of Keosauqua, Joni YOUNG PFEIFER of Clearwater, Florida, and Phyllis YOUNG TJEPKES of Linwood, Washington, along with their families.

Those unable to attend the reception are invited to send cards and greeting, including "how you came to know Vera."

No gifts are requested.
