Page 3RATHBUNs celebrate 65th wedding anniversary
The Rev. Dr. William "Bill" and Dorothy RATHBUN celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last weekend with their family in Dubuque.
The RATHBUNs were married June 24, 1949, at the Wellington Place Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas.
The couple have three children: Candise TIBBALS and husband Thomas of Powell, Ohio; John RATHBUN and wife Connie of Fairfield; and Rebecca KRAUSE and husband Steven of Winnebago, Minnesota. They also have five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
The Rev. RATHBUN retired from Mid-American Baptist Churches in 1989. Mrs. RATHBUN retired from Iowa State Education Association in 1992. They are active in First Baptist Church and the Sac and Fox Lapidary Club, both in Fairfield.
