ATWOODs celebrate 65th wedding anniversary

Donald and Eunice ATWOOD of rural Fairfield celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, with a fellowship hour Sunday at Prairie View United Methodist Church.

Donald ATWOOD and Eunice TREESE were married Oct. 10, 1948, at the United Methodist Church in Packwood.

The couple has three children: Gayle OLSON and husband Dale of Webster City; Zoe MORITZ and husband Bill of Michigan; and the late Norman ATWOOD, who is survived by wife Dorian of Fairfield. They also have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. ATWOOD is a retired farmer, and Mrs. ATWOOD retired from teaching in 1983.

The ATWOODs are long-time members of Prairie View United Methodist Church. The celebration, hosted by family and church members, included sharing stories about their wedding day. Cake was served.

Following the fellowship hour, the ATWOOD family met at a local restaurant to continue the celebration.
