LEWISes to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Wally and Frances LEWIS of Alvarado, Texas, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 17.

Wally LEWIS and Frances Elaine PRUNTY were married Aug. 17, 1963, in Lanark, Ill.

He retired from Arlington Plaza in 2006, and she has been a lifelong homemaker.

They have eight children: son Mark LEWIS and wife Chris of Bastrop, Texas, son Jeff LEWIS and wife Marcy of Weatherford, Texas, daughter Tammy GORDY and husband Steve of Ottumwa, daughter Susan FITE and husband Todd of Ottumwa, daughter Robin O'REILLY and husband John of Goldsboro, N.C., son Curtis LEWIS of Alvarado, Texas, son Steven LEWIS and wife Kerry of Mansfield, Texas, and son Darren John LEWIS, deceased. They also have 14 grandchildren, one deceased grandchild, four stepgrandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.

All friends and family are invited to a celebration from 1-5 p.m. Aug. 17 at their home. Cards also can be sent to their home at 1105 Tanglewood Drive, Alvarado, TX 76009.
