"Mr. and Mrs. Mark Baker, 308 W. Briggs, golden wedding. Ercel Frances Carl and Mark Baker married Dec. 27, 1919 in Mt. Pleasant. Their attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gibson, now living in Des Moines. Spent all their married life in the Fairfield community. Two children: Conway C. Baker of Malverne, Long Island, N.Y., and Mrs. Dick (Roxiann) Dooley of Des Moines; 4 grchn. Mr. Baker was employed as a glass cutter at Thoma Paint & Glass Co., in Fairfield for 17 years. He was later employed by the Iowa State Liquor Control Commission for 30 years before retiring in 1966."
