HISTORY OF ROUND PRAIRIE by Hiram Heaton.

Upon the death of his first wife, Kirk married Almira Howard. At the time of marrying Almira, Kirk's son, Eli had a family and several other of his children were older than the young wife. Because of this disparity of age, the neighbors went to greater excesses at the charivari than has been known at any time before or since. So far as we are informed, Almira is still living in the western part of the state. Eli Kirk is in OK, 90 years old.
