HOOTMANs celebrating 50th wedding anniversary

Wayne and Diana HOOTMAN of rural Douds will mark their golden wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their family from 2-5 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Oak Grove Church in rural Douds.

Wayne HOOTMAN and Diana MORROW were married Oct. 28, 1962, at the United Methodist Church in Douds.

Mr. HOOTMAN has been self-employed in both the farming and trucking business for 47 years. Mrs. HOOTMAN retired after 28 years of service to the Farmer's and Trader's Savings Bank in Douds.

The couple has resided in rural Douds for their entire married life moving to the family farm in 1971.

The HOOTMANs have two daughters: Jeanette GOEHRING and husband Mike and Julie CHAPUIS and husband Doug, all of rural Keosauqua; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
