Page 2MAINs celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Jerry and Sharron MAIN of Fairfield will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday.
Jerry MAIN and Sharron SWANSON were married June 15, 1962, at the Church of the Nazarene in Fairfield, with the Rev. Robert L. Swanson and Gene E. Phillips officiating.
Jerry MAIN is self employed. He is a farmer and served on the Iowa Farm Bureau Board of Directors for nine years, was a Farm Bureau liaison to the Iowa Soybean Association for seven years and is currently a director with the Iowa Corn Growers Association. He also served as a state representative for the local district.
Sharron MAIN retired as a Fairfield High School office secretary.
The MAINs have four children: Rondall MAIN and wife Connie of Belton, Mo.; Jonathon MAIN and wife Tina of Oskaloosa; Jennifer HOWARD and husband Lance of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Jerod MAIN and wife Ashlee of Blue Springs, Mo. They also have nine grandchildren.
The MAINs are planning a family celebration in Branson, Mo.
