Mr. and Mrs. Jake BURGER of rural Brighton will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Sun. Aug. 13.... Reception in the Hope Lutheran Church basement at Germanville. Jake BURGER and Esther MILLER were married Aug. 22, 1917 in the church at Germanville by Rev. Emil G. Rieber. The late Larry Stortz and Mrs. Stortz, the former Elsie Wittmer, were the only attendants... The couple still reside in the Germanville community where they established their first home. They are the parents of three children, Howard, who resides in the same community, Mrs. Raymond KESSEL Jr., (Alice), of Fairfield, and Irene, who died in childhood. They also have ten grandchildren.
