Allen CRANDALL of Fairfield submitted this out of the past photo of his grandfather Roy CRANDALL. "This is how they campaigned in 1929," wrote CRANDALL. "This is my grandfather Roy. He would 'ballyhoo.' With speakers mounted on the vehicle and a battery-operated amplifier and mike, he would read a script as he drove around town. Look at the microphone in his hand."
