Page 3FORD celebrates birthday
Lucy FORD of Mount Pleasant receives a 92nd birthday present during her birthday party Feb. 8 from her brother Fred RUDAT of Fairfield. Also at the festivities were FORD's friend Becky Manning, left, and her niece Jan ANDERSON, both of Mount Pleasant. FORD was born in Germany and came to America at 5 months of age. Her father was in the military where he met his German wife during World War II. The family settled in Agency. FORD, whose husband Frank died in 1985, has lived in Batavia, Crawfordsville and south of Mount Pleasant. She attended Iowa Wesleyan College and taught in rural schools. She has lived in the same house in Mount Pleasant since 1942.
