CLINEs celebrate 65th anniversary

Ivan and Laura CLINE Sr. of Lockridge will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Dec. 7.

They were married in 1946 at the Christian parsonage in Oskaloosa with the Rev. M. Dwight Walker officiating.

Their attendants were the bride's brother Franklin WILLIAMS and the bride's friend Luetta Still.

Before marrying, Laura WILLIAMS lived northwest of Stockport; Ivan CLINE was raised on a farm northwest of Fairfield.

She retired from Walmart in 2001; he retired from Rockwell Industries in 1992.

In September, CLINE surprised his wife with an 84th birthday party and 65th anniversary dinner at the Lockridge Community Center.

Family attending the dinner gathered from Lockridge, Fairfield, Birmingham, Jesup, Batavia, Richland, Buckingham, New London and Des Moines.

The couple has six sons: Junior and his wife Fon and Bill and his wife Louise, of Fairfield; Marvin and his wife Carlyn of Lockridge; Duane and his wife Phyllis of Birmingham; Mike and his wife Theresa of Agency; and Carlos and his wife Nancy of Jesup.

They have 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
