GONTERMAN, Jacob M., farmer, Sec. 17 Des Moines Twp.; P.O. County Line; born March 12 1820 in Madison Co., Ill.; in 1855 came to Jefferson County. Married Sarah M. CARVER Apr 20 1848; she was born April 4 1825 in Blount Co., E. Tenn.; 7 children, six living -- William, John, Jacob, Lou, Thomas and James; lost George in 1855, aged 2 years. Baptist.
