FUNKHOUSERs celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Tom and Patricia FUNKHOUSER will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1-3 p.m. Sept. 17 in First United Methodist Church's dining room.

Tom FUNKHOUSER and Patricia SHEETS were married Sept. 17, 1961, at First United Methodist Church. The couple lived in Banbury, England, and St. Petersburg, Fla., before returning to Fairfield in 1963.

Their children are Jonathan FUNKHOUSER and wife Kim of Fairfield, Alicia ARDOIN and husband Craig of Ames, and Joy LOUK and husband John of Cedar Rapids. They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family celebrated together over Labor Day weekend at Honey Creek Resort in Moravia.
