MILLER'S WED 63 YEARS AGO TODAY

Mr. and Mrs. Noah S. MILLER Lived 40 Years On Same Farm

Mr. and Mrs. Noah S. MILLER, 505 North Main street, are quietly celebrating their 63 wedding anniversary (sic) today at their home here where they have resided for the past seven years. Prior to coming to this city they had lived on their farm 8 miles north of Fairfield for 40 years.

Mr. MILLER was born in Muskingum county, Ohio, March 14, 1843. Mrs. MILLER, who was formerly Miss Louisa COATS, was born, August 11, 1842, near Springfield, Ill. Both came with their parents to Iowa when in their childhood. They were united in marriage at the home of Mrs. MILLER's mother, 8 miles north of Fairfield, Jan. 31, 1861 by Rev. Ed McCarty a Methodist minister.

Mr. and Mrs. MILLER are the parents of nine children, their eldest son Alpha MILLER having died when he was 28 years old. The remaining children are: E. W. MILLER of Reno, Nev.; Mrs. Mary L. BENZ and Mrs. George L. McDANIEL of Washington; Mrs. Nell SMITH of Muscatine and Ed MILLER, Noah MILLER, Jr., Mrs. Fred MATHER and Mrs. Carl TYGRET all of this city.

They are spending the day quietly at their home and they are receiving the congratulations of their many friends.
