103rd YEAR FOR ROUND PRAIRIE

LOCKRIDGE, IA. -- Round Prairie Baptist Church, 4 miles south of here, will observe its 103rd anniversary today with special morning and afternoon services and a noon picnic dinner. Special speaker will be the Rev. Bobby Dwiggins, pastor of the Mark (Ia.) Baptist church. The congregation, founded in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin WORKMAN near the present church site, built its first church of logs hewn by the members. Now drawing worshippers from the Salem, Stockport, Mount Pleasant and Lockridge areas, the church supports missionaries in Japan, Africa, Formosa and South America.
