MARRIAGES

MYERS - POPE. - Oct. 14, 1869, at the house of George FISHER, in Locust Grove township, by Rev. R. M. Gray, Mr. Richard MYERS and Mrs. Ruth J. POPE.

Note: This was the second marriages for both Richard and Ruth. Ruth's maiden name was FISHER, and this marriage took place at the home of her father, George FISHER.

Richard MYERS was previously married to Matilda GAULT (a/k/a GANET), and widowed in 1868. Ruth was previously married to George M. POPE and widowed in Nov. 1865. Both had children from those first marriages, and an additional five children were born subsequent to this marriage between them.
