Mel and Wilma JOHNSTON of Packwood will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday.
The couple was married Dec. 10, 1960, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ottumwa.
Mr. JOHNSTON is a farmer, cattle feeder and dealer for Titan West Livestock Equipment. Mrs. JOHNSTON recently retired from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
Their children are Lisa DAHLSTROM and husband Eric of McKinney, Texas, and Carol REIGHARD and husband Curtis "Pie" of Richland. They have five grandchildren.
The JOHNSTONs will celebrate with a family trip to the Mexican Riviera.
