50th class reunion

The Fairfield High School class of 1960 gathered Sept. 17-18 to celebrate their 50th class reunion. An informational gathering on Friday at the Elks Club was highlighted with a light supper of old fashioned Maid-Rites served by Mr. and Mrs. Hootman. On Saturday evening, the class had a more formal dinner at Walton Club where a short cheer for FHS was given and a video recording was shown of Frosty Westering giving one more pep talk. A few classmates gathered at Yummy's on Saturday morning to share pictures and stories, while others toured FHS or enjoyed a round of golf. Kathy FLORES assembled favorite recipes for the classmates. Don SAMUELSON was master of ceremonies, and the other committee members were Judy LAURITSEN, Margaret HENNES, Angela HOFF, Sandy and Rodger GILLASPIE, Carol WISECARVER, Ronnie and Karen HOLT, Paul Riepe, Marlene BABCOCK and Susan PHIPPS. Guests for the evening were Robert Glocke, Anna Brenneman and Gwen Wells. Ruth RHOADES and Jean WHALEY gave the memorial for 19 deceased members.
