DAVISes celebrating 50th wedding anniversary

Steve and Faye DAVIS of Hedrick will celebrate their 50th anniversary with an open house July 11 at Hedrick Community Center in Hedrick.

Steve DAVIS and Faye JOHNSTON were married March 4, 1960, in Martinsburg Methodist Church with the Rev. John Robinson officiating.

Mr. DAVIS is a semi-retired Wal-Mart truck driver. Mrs. DAVIS is a homemaker.

The couple's children are Ron and wife Ria of Anchorage, Alaska; Larry and wife Amy of Ottumwa; Jeff and wife Pam of Rogersville, Ala.; Jennifer of Hedrick and Bill of Ottumwa. They have 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The couple requests no gifts, just the presence of friends and family.
