Autopsy: Cause of death was carbon monoxide
KEOSAUQUA -- A preliminary autopsy report has confirmed carbon monoxide poisoning was the cause of death at the State Line Motorcycle Rally Friday.
Jerry Joe POHREN, 53, of rural Lockridge was declared dead at the scene.
At approximately 3 p.m. Friday, the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting the discovery of an unresponsive male at the rally on the Van Buren County Fairgrounds near Keosauqua. POHREN was found inside a recreational vehicle by a relative.
An ambulance and deputies responded to the call. Two additional individuals were treated and released.
The identities of the other individuals have not been released.
A funeral for POHREN will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at New Sweden Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Four Corner Tap, the business owned and operated by POHREN north of Lockridge.
