WHISLERs have reception for anniversary, birthday

Lawrence and Shirley WHISLER will hold a reception from 2-4 p.m. June 21 in the fellowship hall at the Washington United Presbyterian Church for their 50th wedding anniversary and Mr. WHISLER's 90th birthday.

The couple's children and grandchildren will host the event.

They were married on April 1, 1959, in Elwood, Pa., by Everett Haney. Their attendants were Ray and Mary WHISLER. They are the parents of three sons: Todd of Dallas, Texas; Trent of Lancaster, Pa.; and Tork of Washington, Iowa.

Mr. WHISLER was born June 28, 1919, in the house where the couple now live on a farm north of Washington, Iowa.

An invitation is extended to all friends and business participants to attend the reception.
