WHITTENs married 50 years

Jack and Pat WHITTEN of Fairfield will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday.

Pat McGUIRE and Jack WHITTEN were married April 4, 1959, at Sacred Heart Church in Ottumwa. They have three children: Lynn and Dan KANE of Fairfield, Laura and Randy STARR of Richland and Tim WHITTEN of Burlington. The couple has three grandsons and one great-grandson.

Jack WHITTEN is retired from the secondary road department and both are retired from foster care after caring for numerous children throughout the years.
