"Fairfield Ledger Weekly", September 16, 1869

All Right Now.--- Good bread can only be made from good flour, and about the best flour “our folks” ever used in the State was made at the Flouring Mills of Mr. Wm. M. READ, on Cedar, three miles Southwest of Fairfield. It will be remembered these mills were nearly destroyed last spring by the brick smoke stack falling on them.--- They are now, however, in complete running order again, having been thoroughly overhauled and repaired and new and improved machinery put in, are now prepared to make the best flour of all kinds at short notice. The flour from these mills which we are now using, makes the lightest and sweetest and best bread that we have tasted in a long time. The starting of this mill again will be good news to the people of that section of the county, and the fact that Mr. READ has made every preparation to furnish only the best flour, will insure him, as he fully deserves, the liberal patronage of the public. In addition to all custom grinding, he will pay, at all times, cash for wheat. Give him a call, and our word for it, you will be fully satisfied.
