September 29th, 1868, at the residence of the bride’s father, Henry AMBLER, Esq., by Rev. Charles HOLMES, Mr. Daniel G. HIGLEY of Fairfield, and Miss Fannie H. AMBLER, of Mt. Pleasant.

To friend HIGLEY we extend our hearty ood [sic] wishes, and congratulate the fair bride upon her success in securing a good partner. May the happy pair "amble" gently over life’s thorny pathway.
