THE HOMES OF FAIRFIELD, By Oscar H. HERRING. 131 E. Broadway. F. E. DANIELSON, Nash cars. Chas. A. SUMMERS, Owner. Old building erected about 1859 by Melchi SCOTT for blacksmith shop. Next door west was 119 and the residence of Melchi SCOTT and now stands at the north end of E 1/3 Lot 1 which belongs with the transaction of the east one-third. Melchi reared five sons of varied predilections. William was a soldier in the Civil war..... Aaron.... Charles.... Lee.... Orange....
