CUMMINGS, Mayor, Fairfield; born in Marshall Co., Virginia, March 6, 1828; his father died when he was only one year old and when he was seven years old, he was sent to live with an uncle in Ohio (Thomas CUMMINGS, bur. Evergreen; see "Ledger" Sept. 28, 1881, Pg. 3, Col. 3).... Married May 15, 1860, Kate STEELE; has two children -- Annie M. and Frank S.; Mrs. CUMMINGS died Oct. 18, 1867.
