SIMMONS -- Sir: You are hereby notified that the undersigned has filed in the office of the County Judge of Jefferson County, Iowa, his petition asking that the certificate granting to you a pre-emption right to the following lands, to-wit: The NW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section Eleven, the E ½ of the SE ¼ of Section Ten, and the NE ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section Fourteen, in Township 71, N.R. 10 W., be set aside and vacated, and the same given to himself.... -- Elijah GOVER.
