Soldier's Graves Registrations at the Court House (Auditor's Office) show that Major Robert D. CREAMER, Co. G, 30th Iowa Inf., died at Memphis, Mo., 12-19-1918; buried Fairfield City Cemetery. His father was Geo. CREAMER.

Major CREAMER was born 5-12-1836 in Ohio; Appointed Captain July 26, 1862; inducted at Fairfield. His first wife was Martha O. PETTYJOHN; 2nd, Sally M. GRAY.

Jefferson County Historical Society minutes, Dec. 8, 1918, show that Major CREAMER was 81 years old at death; he was a school teacher in this county when he enlisted in 1862.
