14 Aug. 1880 ~~ Declaration for Pension of a Widow - Children under 16. Mrs. Theresa WALKUP, aged 31 years, resident of Perlee, Jefferson County; widow of S. S. WALKUP, who died of paralysis on 27 March, 1880, at Perlee, "he carrying an old ulcer on his left leg from Andersonville." She was married under the name of Theresa WIGGINS to said S.S. WALKUP on 22 day of August, 1868, by Rev. Chauncy Darby, at "her parents."

Children: Justin WALKUP, born March, 1869; Etta WALKUP born Sept., 1870; Clarry WALKUP born Decem., 1872; Samuel Steel born March 187_; John WALKUP born Feb., 1880.

23 May 1924 ~~ Declaration for Remarried Widow's Pension. Theresa WALKUP married Jason MINARD at Perlee, Nov. 15, 1883, by Edward McCarty, minister. She is 74 years of age, was born April 6, 1850, at Marietta, Ohio. Jason MINARD died April 30, 1924, at Valley Junction, Iowa. Witnesses: Mrs. Etta HENSHAW, Valley Junction, Iowa; Mrs. Russell V. GLADIEUX, 1048 W. 20th St., Des Moines, Iowa.
