Yesterday afternoon Clerk Lucas issued a marriage license to Wm. E . DOWD, aged 69, and Rebecca HOWARD, aged 66. Both parties were granted divorces this term of court. A remarkable incident was the fact that while the judge was signing the decree of separation from her spouse of former days her would-be bridegroom, who had gained his decree of separation from his wife, was getting the license and the way was prepared for her to become a bride for the fifth time, Justice Stinson officiating at the suspicious event. There are not very many women that live long enough to bury the first husband; divorce the second; bury a third, divorce a fourth and marry a fifth while the judge is signing the decree of separation from the fourth.
