ROUTE AGENT -- The friends of William PARR will be pleased to learn that he has secured the position of mail route agent on the cars between Burlington and Ottumwa, with a salary of $700. Mr. PARR is an excellent citizen, has lived in this county for a number of years, and gained the esteem of his fellow men. He served his country for three years in the army -- of which he bears the honorable scars -- as a member of Co. F, 3d Iowa Cavalry, and at the expiration of his term re-enlisted. Success attend him.
