CELEBRATES 87TH BIRTHDAY SUNDAY, Jan. 12. Mrs. S. W. COFFIN, who resides at 110 West Broadway.... sews and reads with ease without the aid of glasses.... She said, "I have lived in this same location for more than 64 years. I have seen Fairfield grow from a struggling little village to the now prosperous city. There was but one brick building to be seen in the town when we came and located here, and that one was on the square. Many were the times when I have reached a desired destination by stepping from stump to stump to keep from wading knee deep and now we can go from one end of the beautiful city to the other on paved streets and we have miles and miles of cement walks...."
