"....Little can be learned of Dr. John T. HUEY's life. Judge LEGGETT said: 'He was the most cultured gentleman of my acquaintance.' .... Dr. HUEY built the most pretentious house in Fairfield, which was razed in 1933. He had everything the best -- fine horses and servants. He had a Philadelphia education and wealth, and was the most patrician doctor who has lived in Jefferson County....."
