A DISASTROUS FIRE.... VOTE's Furniture Factory.... It was among the old buildings of the town. Built in 1851, for a hotel, it was used for that purpose awhile, under the name of the "North American House". Later it was used as a tenement house, acquiring the name of the "Bee Hive" from being the home of sometimes as many as eight or 10 families. Later the partitions were removed and it was used as a public school building... Since then, for 12 or 15 years, it has been used as a furniture factory.
