(Photo) 52ND YEAR FOR CHRISTMAS TREE. A 52-year-old Christmas tree occupies its usual place at the home of Mrs. Charles LINN, Sr., and her daughter, Helen LINN, 504 W. Burlington. The artificial tree has been used every year since it was given to Charles LINN, Jr., by his grandmother, Mrs. Sophia SAUER KIRCHNER, on his first Christmas in 1911. The tree was purchased from the late C. W. Wade at the Fair Store in Fairfield. The tips of the branches are equipped with metal candle-holders.

For the first time since 1911, Charles LINN, Jr., will not be home to enjoy the tree. He is stationed at Huntsville, Ala., with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Mrs. LINN is the former Marjorie MUNSON. They have two sons, Charles III and Robert.
