VOTE, JACOB, furniture manufacturer, and one of the firm of J. VOTE & Co., Fairfield; born June 2, 1835, in Pennsylvania, moved to Fairfield May, 1857; was elected a member of the City Council April, 1875, and re-elected in 1877. Married Oct., 1862, Maggie E. HENDERSON; have seven children -- Lena, George, Maggie, Carl, Harry, Bernice and Grace.
